ATEX Explosion Proof Scales... (Zone 1(=21) & 2(=22)) ...combine electronic accuracy with the safety of mechanical scales. Safety comes first. This is the design principle behind our precise and high-resolution, ATEX(Ex)-rated scales. Despite the restrictive safely requirements of hazardous work areas, you won't have to do without the generous convenience features that are so typical of our other scales and balances. Our ATEX(Ex)-rated precision scales come with all the right capabilities built inside - the highest accuracy and the most convenient operating features. All ATEX(Ex)-rated models are intrinsically safe and approved for use in Zone 1(=21), 2(=22) and 11 hazardous areas, (L-Series only Zones 1(=21) and 2(=22)). Moreover, all explosion-protected scales and balances can be installed almost anywhere with portable safe-area power supplies, and with the support of our service throughout the country. 	The L-Series: extremely accurate. The L 220 S-X with a capacity of 222g and a readability of 1 mg is the most accurate electronic balance in the world for hazardous environments. The balance has a built-in automatic calibration function which means you obtain the best results. One touch of the CAL key, and a built-in calibration weight is applied by the Ex-rated servomotor and lifted at the end of calibration. Featuring a removable draft shield and a high-contrast LCD, the intrinsically safe L-Series balances offer many practical advantages.


QS and I series: rugged-built. The intrinsically safe, larger-capacity OS-series and I-series scales have been specially designed and built for use in hazardous industrial environments. These lP65-certified scales are protected against dust and washdown. Standard, built-in application programs in the QS scales include counting, formulation, checkweighing and comparative weighing.


	F series: heavy-duty scales. Factory Series scales offer high precision and high capacity. They often replace more than one mechanical scale. Many optional accessories tailor the scale to meet your exact requirements for better weighing results and ease of use.


Safe data transfer. In the hazardous area, you can connect two devices with the T-connector, a foot switch for remote tare and/or print command, and/or an interface converter to communicate with a device in the safe area. For trouble-free data transmission, our interface converter (see options) connects to all Ex-rated scales to give you access to the following communication ports outside a hazardous area: RS-232C, RS-423, RS-422, RS-485 and TTY.
