Cellarmate is basically a weighing device, which is specially engineered to fit neatly under the rim of the keg. That means the licensee or stocktaker has only to tilt the keg a few inches to slip Cellarmate into place. The large dial then gives an instant read out of the weight recorded. A zeroing knob enables the user to set the scale pointer to allow for the empty weight of the keg, so that no complicated calculations are needed and the actual weight of beer inside the keg is what is indicated on the dial.
