The Products
The WEYLUX and WEYMED ranges include scales for weighing adults,
babies, young children and mobile weighers for seated patients.
These are detailed in the three product brochures. WEYLUX
and WEYMED scales are designed to give many years of hard
use whilst maintaining accuracy. They are beautifully finished
in a hard wearing enamel.
Body Mass Index (BMI)
This facility is incorporated in both the adult and baby/child
scales. BMI is medically recognised as a prime measure of
obesity and healthy weight. The WEYLUX and WEYMED BMI functions
are uniquely designed to be simply accessed.
Regulations and Quality Standards
It is a legal requirement that all weighing scales used for
medical purposes must conform with the European Directive
90/384/EEC and the associated Regulations. WEYLUX and WEYMED
scales are accordingly fully approved and verified. Additionally
they are manufactured to a certified IS0 9001 quality system.
Accuracy Standards
All WEYLUX and WEYMED medical scales are calibrated to the
Class III Standard which is a necessity for accurate weighing.,
and now a legal requirement.
Dual Reading
Only kg/g units are now legally prescribed by the Regulations
for medical weighing. But scales additionally reading in stones/lb/oz
may be used for non-medical weighing - for example in slimming
clubs, fitness centres and pharmacies. All WEYLUX scales are
optionally available dual reading for non-medical use. |
